It feels like it’s been a year since last October, and I for one am damn happy it’s back. We kick off this greatest of months with news that our educational system is finally taking the zombie threat seriously. The University of Florida has posted a six page zombie attack plan/infected dispatch form on its disaster info page. This is the kind of major community involvement our country needs to avert the coming plague. Even if it is touted as a farce, as in this instance, the information is still relevant and available to a deprived public in a crisis.
UF has started something that we should all get on board with. Continue the momentum and start a grass-roots zombie initiative in your town. Simple actions such as this sharing of information and planning ahead will be what stays our species from annihilation. Collectively, we have the power to thwart the shamblers.
