The severely crowded Modelo prison is home to over 11,000 of the nation’s most violent, left-wing rebels and right-wing government supporters and paramilitary mercenaries. Officials discovered dozens of dead inmates – as well as prison visitors – hacked up and stuffed into the prison’s main sewer drain.
