The commercialism associated with the passing of Michael Jackson is just beginning.
The first sign that it was coming was when AEG - the concert promoter responsible for the 50 London shows Michael Jackson had slated for later this summer - offered fans to keep their unused tickets instead of receiving refunds. According to ABC, AEG says 40-50% of fans are opting to keep their tickets.
Now, the same group says that they were working with Michael on a 300-piece merchandise line for the shows. Apparently the King of Pop himself signed off on all of the items before his death. Don't worry. It will still be available, as one would expect.
The AEG merchandise line includes things like socks, an eye mask with MJ eyes on it, puzzles, tote bags, even a varsity jacket like the one from the "Thriller" video.
The line is available for sale through the company, but it will also be coming to a Target, JC Penney and Hot Topic near you. (As one would expect.)
You can check out the line on the official Michael Jackson tour website.
