Glenn Beck hops over to Fox News Channel

Glenn Beck is making the leap from CNN's Headline News to the Fox News Channel.

The conservative radio and TV talk show host made the official announcement yesterday amidst press releases from both CNN and Fox News.

Beck has signed a multi-year deal with Rupert Murdoch's cable net.  He will host a weekday and weekend show.  Beck's idealism is a good fit with the "We report. You decide." newser.

Most analysts say the move is a major loss for CNN's Headline News.  Beck is the network's second biggest draw, behind Nancy Grace.

For Fox, their press release says the decision is good business savvy.  They note that Beck's viewership has increased 200% since the show launched in 2006.

Glenn Beck will continue to host his radio program, which airs daily on more than 300 Clear Channel stations and XM.  The Beck-FNC show is slated for Spring 2009.  Beck's Headline News show has been airing in the 7PM and 9PM slots, but his new show is marked for 5PM.
