Tomorrow the spotlight at THEARC will be on the arts.

Tomorrow (October 31) is the 4th annual Arts Day at THEARC (Town Hall Education Arts and Recreation Campus). The event starts at 10 am and lasts until 2pm—leaving you more than enough time to get ready for any events you have planned later in the day.

The free community arts festival will have free refreshments, face painting and other activities throughout the day.

From 10 am-1pm, you can enjoy:

-Live music from the Matt Dievendorf Jazz Trio

-African Harvest Dances  and Hip Hop Dance Workshops

-Hands on Print Making Workshops at the Corcoran ArtReach at THEARC

Then at 1pm see Extravaganza! Magic Show in THEARC Theater.

THEARC officially opened in 2005 and since then it has provided dance classes, music lessons, fine arts, academics, continuing education, mentoring, tutoring, recreation, and even medical and dental care and other services  to DC residents who live east of the Anacostia River.
