The KidsEuroFestival is a festival to celebrate European culture and performance that includes a showcase of 20 films from 16 countries. And although these films are aimed at young audiences, some of them will probably appeal to the kid in all of us.
In addition to the films, performers from Europe will be participating in family-focused events around the city and presenting in area schools.
You can see these films at different embassies and museums around town, so checking out the film festival also gives you a good reason to visit embassies that you might not otherwise think to check out. The Kids Euro Festival is being put on with the participation of 27 EU embassies and more than a dozen of the city's cultural institution.
Some of the locations hosting events include: the Embassy of Finland ,the House of Sweden, La Maison Française, The Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage, the Library of Congress, the Washington Ballet, the National Gallery of Art and the National Children's Museum.
The festival started last Sunday and will continue until November 9. All of the films are free. Some, but not all, of the films require reservations.
