No one was injured in a building collapse during the afternoon of May 20 , as a roof and walls that house a building occipied by at least three business collapsed, on Old Rt 13 The incident happened in Bristol Borough, which is just north of Philadelphia. The incident was witnessed by a police officer who just concluded a car stop.
The building was used by an auto repair shop but was also leased to other businesses for storage, officials said. Bucks County authorities Some businesses were evacuated and structural engineers have to be called in to asses the feasability of the building. A few hours into the crash, heavy machinery was called to the scene to raise the portion of the building that collapsed.
Numerous firefighters and Fire Police were called to the scene to assist with traffic control. Officials have yet to determine the cause of this collapse. No charges have yet been filed.
