Even the most tree-suckling, bleeding-heart liberal should be conscious enough to realize that the Barack Hussein Obama presidency should not be given a free pass from scrutiny and criticism. Just because a man seems almost super-intelligent and ultra-coherent when compared to the previous leader of the free world doesn't mean he is above wrongdoing and corruption, and he must be held accountable if such things come to pass.

Just as the most gun-toting, bible-thumping, pro-life-until-birth conservative should know better than to shout baseless rhetoric comparing a democratically elected official (who can easily be voted out after 4 years) to a Nazi or communist hell-bent on creating a fascist dictatorship in America and destroying the very fabric of society from within. Believe me, evangelical church leaders and corporate CEO's are doing a fine job of that already.

But tell that to Fox News, the most watched cable news network in all the land, and their army of brainwashed legions. For most of the enlightened, the very idea of Fox as a legitimate news outlet is laughable. They are undermined at every turn by people who easily see through the charade, but their detractors alone aren't solely responsible for exposing this joke of a “news” network.

Their legitimacy is destroyed daily from within. Their downfall will be an inside job.

And the reasoning is agonizingly simple: you can't purport to be a News Organization if your broadcasting day is comprised solely of bashing the Obama Administration, in every conceivable shape and form, when you've just spent the previous 8 years trumpeting the Bush-Cheney regime as the savior of the western world. There is zero Fair and Balanced reporting happening when you're totally in bed with one administration and then, before the next has even unpacked their bags, spin a complete 180 and trounce every policy idea, every thought, even choices of condiments for a burger, from its absolute beginning, at every available opportunity. Their most beloved regular “commentator” is ex-Bush boy toy Karl Rove, for crying out loud.

Fox-bashing is not a meaningless exercise to make liberals feel better. Not for true liberals and progressives, anyway. We're just as exasperated by fall-in-line Obama apologists. He's not the Messiah, as Rush “Prescription-Abuse” Limbaugh likes to sarcastically call him, a not-so-subtle jab at the Obama supporters who have yet to remove their blinders. We see this, even if Limbaugh wants to corral all liberals into this one camp. Because that's what Fox News and conservative “pundits” do; they decide that all liberals are of one mind, that we use the space commonly reserved for velvet portraits of Jesus and nativity scenes for shrines to Obama, and Gore, and Adolf Hitler.

Fox News, as so brilliantly dissected in the following clip from The Daily Show, has apparently given up their rouse as a “news network.”

Even though this will probably just make conservatives and Fox-washed brains angrier than they already are about our Messiah.
