Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione recently sold for $292k in Baltimore... bringing Italian sexy back

BREAKING EXOTIC CAR SHOPPING NEWS: What does a car collector do when he or she comes into a little extra pocket change money? Goes exotic car shopping, of course. This week, a brand new  Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione found its way to its new home in the Mid-Atlantic region. $292K was the money needed to take the pretty Italian girl to her new American owner's home. Ahh, to be rich and famous -- and able to make this sort luxury product purchase and be a part of automotive history.

FIAT GROUP CREATES AMBITIOUS AND SEXY ALFA ROMEO 8C MODEL CONTEMPORARY DESIGN

The Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione is one of Fiat Group's latest and most ambitious supercar projects. Sold by the team at Maserati of Baltimore, the exotic modern classic is sure to become a legend in the motorsports world for it's sharp design. As a new resident in Baltimore, she will hopefully be the photo focus of exotic spotter cameras and video sightings all around the charm city region and Washington DC Metro glam nightclubs.

Though we can't release the details [yet] about who purchased the car, we can say that the money used to buy the new Fiat group beauty was earned by a local celebrity who moves to their own sound. Press the play button on the video below and make sure your speakers are on to hear the engine tune while she revs up and leaves the exotic car dealership's hallowed ground, recorded by Italianizzato Club friend and exotic car fan Tom McMullen.

LOCAL NEWS BITES: UPSCALE URBAN BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY IN BALTIMORE MARYLAND

This car was so pretty up close and in person that it almost resembled on of the famous cakes by Charm City Bakery. The local Baltimore establishment produces such artistic confection treats for the established elite and upscale luxury events for men and women in the region that are so tasty, they have earned themselves a place in pop culture history with a special television series called "Ace of Cakes" on the Food Network.

THE "ICING ON THE CAKE" BROUGHT TO YOU BY ACE OF CAKE'S CHARM CITY CAKES

The Ace of Cakes crew already produced one cake for a party last year for Maserati, but it was done with a book theme. Benefiting the non-profit organization "Empowerment Minds" founded by Baltimore Raven Dan Wilcox and new bride Shauna Chin-Wilcox, the star studded fashion-focus luxury product event brought out the entire Ravens team to the dealership for a fun night of fun-d raising. [The Wilcox couple was made famous on the reality series "Whose Wedding is it Anyway?" as the couple married in a lavish ceremony on the 50 yard line of the M&T Bank Stadium (where the Ravens home games are played)]. The event was held to raise funds for Baltimore's inner city youth, and donations were made to local literacy programs by the host couple.

CREATING QUITE A SCENE IN THE QUIET MARYLAND SUBURBAN COUNTY COMMUNITIES

small camera cake by charm city cakesMore classic car parties, custom cakes, and charity benefits helping meet the needs of Charm City residents causes? If we can get this killer cool ruckus red candy coat Italian car and local high profile celeb-status owner back with entourage to this Maserati dealership in Baltimore County for special events in the coming year... that really would be sweet. The photo to the left is actually not a Nikon camera; the picture is of a cake made by the bakery for a local photographer.

If this dessert catering company can make a cake camera look  this not-fake, what do you think the designers would be able to do on a project targeting the Alfa 8C and it's exotic contemporaries? With any luck, these trendy Ace cake bakers will be able to create a Ferrari, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Lamborghini Exotic Car theme treat cake for one of the Maserati car delaership's next big charity benefits in the Baltimore region hosted by the dealership in the coming year -- inspired by the colors of the machines they have been able to see on the Baltimore streets. That way, we can ride in cars that look good enough to eat and enjoy munching on cars (and cupcakes) from star pastry Chef Duff Goldman.
