Experts believe phoenix crop circle may be 2012 warning

 On June 12, 2009, the latest crop circle in the pattern of a phoenix is discovered in a barley field in Yatesburyf near Cherhill, Wiltshire.  Approximately 400 feet in diameter, the crop circle portrays a phoenix rising from the ashes that may serve as a warning of a catastrophic event to occur on December 21, 2012.  According to the Mayan calendar, this same date signifies a new beginning or transformation of the universe.  

According to mythology, only one phoenix may be in existence at a time.  After the 500-5,000 year life span of the phoenix draws near, it will gather fragrant herbs and cinnamon twigs for building a nest.  Fire is used to burn the phoenix and its nest to ashes.  In 3 days, the new phoenix will rise from the ashes carrying the knowledge and wisdom of its predecessor.   

The phoenix is symbolic of the death and subsequent rebirth of the Sun.  Living on dew, the phoenix neither kills nor crushes anything that it touches.  References to the phoenix include “king of birds” and “bird of the sun”.  In connecting this to the crop circle of the phoenix, many translate this to mean the reemergence of earth and the human race following December 21, 2012.

Experts in the field note that many recent designs all indicate the likelihood of a colossal event in the year 2012.  Prior to the phoenix, the most baffling crop circle of the year is 150 feet in diameter and contains an image corresponding to the first ten digits in pi, 3.141592654.  Crop circle enthusiasts believe that we will receive many more of these "signs" between now and the year 2012.
