Worst celebrity blond hair moments

Not everyone can be a hair style chameleon like Madonna. She can go from blond to brunette and still look good. It's a combination of facial features, skin tone and meticulously selected shades of hair dye that enables the naturally brunette star to go blond and (cliche alert) have more fun. Let's examine stars who have made some of the worst blond mistakes. Ever. Whether it be for a movie role or otherwise, let's hope these stars back away from the bleach bottle and return to their (pun alert) roots.

JESSICA ALBA

"Fantastic Four" fanboys cried foul when Jessica Alba assumed the role of Sue Storm. And with good reason--the original comic and subsequent animated series portrayed Sue Storm as a blond and blue eyed heroine. Someone like Michelle Williams (above, at right) or Charlize Theron would have been the perfect casting choice. Alba resorted to horrid blue eye-color contact lenses, bleach blond hair and lots of makeup to resemble to character.

HALLE BERRY

In a movie franchise that has made hundreds of millions of dollars, you would think the "X-Men" folks would buy a decent wig for one of Marvel's most beloved character, Storm. And the fans agreed. The first film's platinum hair color resembled a Wal-Mart Halloween wig, the second film's yellowy-blond wig didn't add any prowess and looked bland, and the third film's cropped, platinum blond with salt-and-pepper highlights wig looks as if it was borrowed from Carol Channing.

ANGELINA JOLIE

She has been quoted as saying she's actually a natural blond, but dark hair is definitely her best look. Jolie went blond in "Life or Something Like it," and her hair looked about as natural as Lisa Rinna's lips.

Jay Manuel

Art director for "America's Next Top Model," Jay Manuel offers a pretty reasonable excuse for his Ken doll hair style. He told Canada's National Post: "It's part of the brand of that person. It's written into my contracts that I can't change that." Are tight clothes, lots of makeup and bitchy one-liners also written in his contract, or is that just for fun?

Wesley Snipes

Hahahahahahahahaha. LMAO. ROLF. OMFG are you serious? Hahahahahhahahahha. Okay wait, give me just a second. Hahahahhahahahahahahahaha. Who's idea was it to give Wesley Snipes that awful haircut and then dye it blond for his role in "Demolition Man?" That's the cruelest thing I can think of.

Colin Farrell

In "Alexander" Colin Farrell sported golden locks for the failed epic.

Amy Winehouse

At left, this is your brain. At right, this is your brain on drugs.
