The November 10th Daily Variety story “Twitter to feed laffer” by Cynthia Littleton announced:
“From Twitter to the tube: CBS has ordered a script for a domestic comedy inspired by the popular Twitter feed ‘Shit My Dad Says.’”
I have to admit I hadn’t heard of this Twitter username. I quickly checked out @shitmydadsays and learned that 29-year-old Justin Halpern has 730,528 followers of what his 73-old father says. Justin also has a book deal for his tweets.
Meanwhile, after the November 9th TV episode of HOUSE I tweeted that a teen on the show said: “I follow him on Twitter.” I was corrected on Facebook that the actual quote was: “I follow his tweets.” I apologize for the misquote.
And LinkedIn is rolling out the same Twitter application that Facebook has. Background info: Instead of using an application that feeds all your tweets into your Facebook update, you can choose an application that only feeds your tweets into your Facebook update when you put #fb at the end of the tweet.
Now you’ll be able to get this application from your LinkedIn account (when it is rolled out to your LinkedIn profile) and add #in at the end of your tweets when you want them to go into your LinkedIn update. I’ve already used this feature and I’m really pleased.
I’m also really pleased how many people retweeted this tweet of mine (I'm @ZimblerMiller on Twitter):
