Scheduled for September, the Alliance Tournament VII in EVE Online is open for signups from July 3 until July 17th. Here are the details (you can sign up on the tournament page here).
Tournament Slots
There will be 64 slots available for alliances to compete. These slots will be split as follows:
16 slots for Sixth Alliance Tournament top finishers – the top 16 teams from the Sixth Alliance tournament will be guaranteed entry if they sign up.
48 slots for open entry – All other teams who sign up will be entered into a draw for a place in the tournament.
10 slots for reserve teams – 10 slots will also be drawn for reserve teams.
Draw
The draw will be conducted as follows:
All correctly signed up teams (see Signup Procedure, below) that do not have guaranteed entry will be entered into a random drawing.
48 teams will be drawn, and these teams will each be awarded a place in the tournament.
10 further teams will be drawn and numbered from 1-10. These teams will be ‘reserve’ teams (see section 3, below).
Signup Procedure
1. Signing Up
ALL alliances (including those with automatic entry) must apply using the signup page. This page will be available from downtime on Friday, 3rd 2009 until downtime on Friday 17th 2009. Only the CEO of the executor corporation of the alliance may apply.
1.1 At this time, a team captain must be
nominated. All further correspondence will be to
the team captain only.
1.2 At any time, the team captain may be changed
by either the alliance executor CEO or the
current team captain. This MUST be done via
Evemail to CCP Alliance Tournament on
Tranquility only.
1.3 Requests from the Alliance Executor take
precedence over the team captain.
1.4 The team captain must be a member of the
Alliance .
2. Entry Fee
A representative of the alliance must deposit 2 Billion ISK into the wallet of CCP Alliance Tournament, with the alliance name as the description of the transfer. Failure to do this will void entry.
2.1 The player depositing the money must be a
member of the entering alliance.
2.2 Your entry will not be confirmed until your
entry fee has been paid. If the fee is not paid
before tournament signups close, then your entry
will be void.
2.3 Entry fees will be refunded to teams that
are not drawn to participate in the tournament.
This will be done on Tuesday 20th July
2.4 Entry fees for confirmed teams are non
refundable and will be used as part of the
prize pool.
2.5 Alliances with automatic entry must also
pay the signup fee.
3. Reserve Teams and Withdrawing
At any time until downtime on Friday 4th September 2009, a team that has been confirmed for entry may withdraw by sending an EVE Mail to CCP Alliance Tournament. We will then contact teams on our reserve list, in the order that they were drawn. If a team on the reserve list wishes to take the tournament slot, then that team will be entered into the tournament and the withdrawing team will be refunded its entry fee. If no reserve team can be found, the entry fee will not be refunded and will remain in the prize pool.
4. Confirmation and Contact Details
A confirmation EVE Mail will be sent to the team captain of each team once it has been confirmed for entry. There may be up to a 48 hour delay on this once the signup deposit has been paid.
The draw for tournament places will be conducted when signups close and the final tournament teams and schedule posted on Tuesday 20th July.
All correspondence should be sent via EVE Mail to CCP Alliance Tournament on Tranquility.
