Cardiff voluntarily relaxes in his sof-krate n2

I am a dog owner who incorporates my canine companion, Cardiff, into many life adventures, both near and far from home. As a veterinarian, I make certain I transport my dog in a way that provides for his safety.  Over the past four years of active excursions with Cardiff, I have come across some well-made and useful products that have greatly improved our travel experience.  Here is the second in a multi-part series showcasing products which Cardiff and I love!

Firstrax sof-krate n2 indoor/outdoor pet home

Until I discovered the sof-krate n2, I previously used a plastic airline crate to transport Cardiff in the hatchback part of my Toyota Prius. For Cardiff’s safety, I like the rigidity of the plastic crate, as its size and stability make it less likely to be knocked out from hatchback part of the car during an accident. Yet, the plastic crate is not easily collapsable for transport and storage. As Cardiff goes with me on road trips, he needs a container format that is simply modified to exit the car and move on to our next destination.

The N2N dog crate, manufactured by Firstrax, easily collapses and can be readily reassembled. The interlocking “tent pole” style internal support rods provide rigidity to the mesh and fabric side walls, ceiling, and floor. The front, side, and top panel easily unzip to fix in an “open” position with velcro stays. All side panels are well-ventilated to allow for appropriate air flow. It has a water resistant base, which is ideal for easy cleanup of urinary or fecal accidents.

As the N2N soft-krate conveniently fits into the back seat of a car or the hatch back portion of an SUV, our model got its first true test during a road trip from Los Angeles to San Francisco. I initially had to coerce Cardiff into the crate with a few dog treats, but he readily adjusted to his new, secure, home away from home. He even willingly went into the N2N crate in my hotel room once he recognized that it was a safe, comfortable place for lounging and a much-needed nap!

I highly recommend the Firstrax sof-krate n2 indoor/outdoor pet home to anyone seeking a durable, collapsable, readily transortable canine containing device.
