Warm Heart, Warm Home

A warm home captures your family's heart

Just as the weather starts to turn a little nippier outside, your family can feel warm and cozy inside.  By adding some enchanting little touches to your home furniture, lightening, fixtures, sounds, smells and doors.  Family and friends can feel snug and comfortable when they enter your home.

Here are some easy tips to warm your home and everyone’s heart at the same time:

For a welcoming touch, as a greeting to your visitors, place an attractive green, welcome wreath on the door. Try to get a scented one, or place eucalyptus oil on its leaves.  You can change variations of the wreath for each holiday such as placing artificial fruit on its leaves for Thanksgiving, or adding tiny little ribbons and gift-wrapped gifts for Christmas.

Inside the home, pile plush, decorated pillows unto the sofa and beds, while adding bright throws with rich deep colors like brown, burgundy, and gold.   Set the atmosphere by positioning your big lounge chair by a warm fireplace.  If you do not have a fireplace, buy a small, movable one at the furniture store.

Use soy candle sets with fragrant scents of oil.  Buy a couple of decorative sets to plant on the tables, along with an engaging, triple-branched, candelabrum for the walls.  The use of flickering candles or soft lighting will give the room a feeling of secure refuge.

Warm the hearts of those you love by making sure that small blankets are available for others to place around themselves when they feel a chill.  Keep books and reading material siting on the tables and in magazine carriers.

Always have some yummy, hot apple cider or marshmallow cocoa ready, along with some luscious whipped cream to place on top.  Keep inventory of cookies, popcorn, or other snacks to set out for family or guests.

The exclusive sights, sounds, and smells will warm the home of your family.  In addition, the care, love, and graceful little concerns that you take the time to create will warm the hearts of them as well.
