Patricia Moreno, designer of IntenSati mind body fitness

Patricia Moreno founded IntenSati, a unique mind / body fitness program. Her unique integration of life coaching and physical activity for a powerful mind body experience can change your life.

This revolutionary program teaches you to delve deep into your mind and spirit to reveal your path to becoming the best you can be. Through the use of daily affirmations, yoga, martial arts, and dance, Patricia demonstrates the power of deliberate thought and how you can motivate yourself to take the positive action necessary to be successful in your fitness and weight loss goals.

Patricia recently passed these tips along to me to share with my readers:

Exercise 1

The best exercise is cardio. If you have a limited amount of time, do an exercise that will give you the best benefits in a short amount of time.
My favorites are exercises that also offer a body shaping component like climbing Stairs. It's an awesome buttocks shaper and also gives you a great cardio workout! Go find some bleachers at the school yard or maybe in your apartment building. Walk or run up and walk down and you will feel energized, sculpted and athletic and you will burn excess calories.

Exercise 2

If you are at home with limited time, do one of my favorites - my 1 minute workout. Pick 4-6 different exercises like, pushups, crunches, lunges, jumping jacks and a wall sit (leaning against a wall knees bent for your legs). Do one minute of each exercise, stop when you have to but only for 3 seconds and start again. When one minute is up go to the next exercise. If you only have 5 minutes do one round, if you have 10 minutes do 2 rounds etc. Something is better than nothing and you will feel energized, proud of yourself and strong.

Exercise 3

You can always walk if you don't have any other option. A fast walk that is almost about to break out into a jog is a great calorie burner, almost as good a jogging and for some even better for the joints. A brisk walk gives you great cardio, but it also shapes your legs especially if you find a few uphill roads to walk. Even 30 minutes will leave you feeling awaked, renewed and leaner. This is a no excuse exercise. Anyone can do it anywhere anytime.
It is not the exercise but getting yourself to do it that matters. Get into a habit and do it whether you feel like it or not. There is nothing as good as feeling good in your own body and feeling proud of yourself for working out. One 30 minute session is a great kick start to your metabolism, mood and fitness lifestyle.
