Well, the Fox may have nabbed another comic book role. Megan Fox, that is. Already set to star in Jonah Hex in June 2010, and in Michael Turner's Fathom in the same year, according to British Tabloid, The Sun reports the current "It Girl" and Transformers star has possibly signed on to be in Christopher Nolan's third Batman film set to hit theaters in 2011 along with Christian Bale, Michael Caine, and Gary Oldman.
Fox has been grabbing all of the once rumored fanboy dream roles for Angelina Jolie who was anticipated to be the next actress to get diamond fever in the catsuit. Fox is also favored to play Lara Croft in the next installment of that franchise but there is no confirmation on that.
She will follow in the big screen paw prints of Michelle Pfeiffer who was a satisfactory Selina Kyle in Batman Returns, but let us all hope director/screenwriter Christopher Nolan can erase the memory of Halle Berry in the forgettable 2004 Catwoman film. Nolan seems to stress a darker more psychological study of Batman and his rogue gallery which is the most promising aspect of his third Batman film. Fox's acting talent leaves much to prove that she can do more than just look the part.
The Sun is reporting this news so it's not safe to say this is set in concrete. If this is indeed true here's hoping Nolan will use the more recent comics written by Ed Brubaker and drawn by Darwyn Cooke as templates for how the character should look and feel. They now only re-establish and modernized the catsuit but define who Kyle is as a person and her role in Gotham City. If this rumor holds up, what do you think about Megan Fox as Catwoman?
