In the late 80's, geeky Jenna just wants to be popular. After her 13th birthday party goes all sorts of bad, Jenna wishes she could just be 30 years old instead. The next morning, she wakes up to find out that she's 17 years older. Now she's a curvaceous and sexy, successful magazine editor, Jenna finds out that being an adult isn't necessarily all it's cracked up to be. Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo star in this fun romantic comedy full of wit and class.
Ahhh. The chick flick. For the most part men decide to stay away from these. Mostly because its not tons of fire and explosions every thirty seconds. Given that, some men do catch a few movies geared towards the female demographic here or there, for variety, for the actors, or just good story. The film starts out with a 13 year old girls birthday...not too exciting. But it got better though. She wakes up as a 30 year old successful marketing consultant for a fashion magazine and its the always beautiful Jennifer Garner as the main character Jenna. The story was the many times done of a girl wishing she was older, becomes older with fairy dust and decides she doesn't like who she becomes and tries to change things unsuccessfully and ends up back as a kid making the right choices and eventually nabbing the right boy who grows up to be her husband. Hollywood loves a happy ending.
The acting is superbly done by everyone in this movie. Its not going to win any awards but its got alot of heart. See it with someone you care about and aren't afraid to show emotions with cause the emotions will show while seeing this.
