A (Photoshop) dog wedding cake made from Whoppers

Pet  weddings are a bizarre trend that seems to be catching on, given the number of Web sites offering dog wedding cakes, tuxedos and dresses designed for the "special day."
Petweds.com will marry a pet couple for $14.95, according to its Web site.
My Best Friend pet bakery is one of many sites that makes and delivers dog wedding cakes.
This may have started on Myspace, where many of the dogs, cats, and other pets have girlfriends or boyfriends. Some of the pets even get engaged and have weddings.
The weddings are often preceded by bachelor or bachelorette parties, all of which take place in a Myspace blog.
Is this something creepy or demented?  From what I've seen, no.
I was taken aback, though, when someone first asked if my dog, Jasper, was "dating."
What kind of weirdo would ask my dog such a thing on his Myspace page?
But what I've found is that it's simply people with a weird sense of humor and  perhaps a little too much time on their hands.  It's also a fun way to spoof social networking Web sites.
On Myspace, most of the pet weddings are done with Photoshop pictures, which is less costly, but probably more time-consuming than having a real-life wedding for a pet.
This article explains how to host the best pet wedding.
And yes, Jasper is engaged. That's his Photoshop wedding cake made from Whopper hamburgers.
His fiance's mom and I can't seem to find the time to put together all of the pictures, though.
Either that, or we both know it's a little too strange to really follow through on it.
