In the past music on television shows and video games was frequently little more than background; something to fill the spaces between the action sequences.  But in the past few years with the arrival of music and dance specific games where players can become their favorite rock stars the music has become an essential part of the game.  Billboard magazine has compiled a list of the top 25 songs for video games.
