As summer heats up, so do the coaching changes. Here are three of the latest:
Spates to Cornell: Jeremy Spates will join the Cornell University wrestling staff as an assistant coach. Spates comes to the Ithaca, New York school after serving as an assistant coach at the University of Oklahoma the past five seasons.
Spates will assist the Big Red in all areas of coaching, including recruiting and on-the-mat instruction. A former 149-pounder, he will work with all Cornell wrestlers but will specialize with the middle to lower weight classes.
"I have known Jeremy for a very long time, and I helped him with his technique when he was in junior high," said Rob Koll, Cornell’s head coach. "We tried to get Jeremy to join our staff a few years ago, but the timing was not right. We are very glad to have him back in New York. Jeremy will bring a unique perspective to our staff, having wrestled and coached in the Big 12."
Jeremy Spates wrestled for the University of Missouri, where he compiled a 106-38 record, was a three-time NCAA qualifier, and earned All-American honors his senior year. His father, Jack Spates, head coach of the Oklahoma Sooners for the past sixteen seasons, was coach at Cornell from 1988-1993.

Anceravage to NC State: Steve Anceravage, a two-time NCAA All-American wrestler for Cornell University, has joined the staff at North Carolina State University as an assistant coach.
A four-time NCAA qualifier, Anceravage capped off his stellar collegiate career this past March by with a fifth-place finish at 174 pounds at the 2009 NCAA championships. The previous year, he finished sixth at 174. Anceravage finished his career with a 119-28 overall record. At Cornell, Anceravage earned something of a reputation as a “fall guy,” breaking the school record for pins in a single season (17) as a junior, and establishing a new Cornell record for career pins with 37.
"Steve Anceravage was an outstanding college wrestler and is an excellent addition to our coaching staff," Wolfpack head coach Carter Jordan said. "He comes from a college program in Cornell that has had a great deal of success, a program that stresses academics as much as athletics. In addition to being an excellent wrestler, Steve is smart and ambitious, and he's ready to hit the ground running. He has a great work ethic and is very excited about joining our program. He'll be a difference-maker, both on and off the mat."

Kocsis to Muhlenberg: Mike Kocsis, a former ranked Division I wrestler and one of the top natural bodybuilders in the world, has been hired the new head wrestling coach at Muhlenberg College. He replaces Tom Schleicher, who retired in March after 13 seasons at the Allentown, Pennsylvania-based college.
Kocsis is a 1993 graduate of Central Connecticut State, where he was a four-year starter and two-time East Coast Conference champion. He qualified for the NCAA Division I Championships three times and was ranked as high as 12th in the nation.
After graduating college, Kocsis spent one year as an assistant coach at Central Connecticut, one at Franklin (N.J.) High School and three at Phillipsburg High School.
Since 2000, Kocsis has been owner and director of Unlimited Changes Personal Fitness and Performance Center in Easton, Pennsylvania. Among the wrestlers he mentored there are Kellen Russell, a two-time Big Ten champion at the University of Michigan, and Jon Gregory, a 2008 Division III All-American at Ithaca College. He has also enjoyed great success as a natural bodybuilder.
