Why not host your own sausage tasting?

There are a medley of fine restaurants in Culver City. I’ve enjoyed a fair amount of them. But what about those unsung heroes who simply love to cook, upon occasion write reviews, and are even featured on TV. There are so many around town-those whose names do not grace the fronts of restaurants, those who are not heralded in Zagat guides.

Two of them recently hosted an event, comparing the good and not so good in the world of sausage. Hosted by my chef pals, Cecilia and Jorgito, we were privy to an army of delights. The sausage invitational, featured a crowd of foodies, eager to comment, taste, and measure every little inch of over 20 sausage types from many denominations.

Oddly enough, many of these sausages can be found in Culver City, either in specialty stores, or at your supermarket. If you’re dining around town, check out the sausages featured in your dish. Maybe they are one of the lucky winners in our competition.
