Jordan’s Queen Rania addressed Yale University, where she blamed the Palestinian Arabs’ problems on Israel, and Yale U. President Richard Levin announced a Queen Rania fellowship for Middle Eastern studies.

She said that the Palestinian Arabs are in despair from years of instability, losing land, olive trees, and livelihoods, “being kicked out of the homes in which their families have lived for generations,” suffering from “identity theft” for 60 years, and “having no place to call their own.”  She accused Israel of “holding the entire region a hostage to continuing confrontation.”  (www.imra.org.il, 9/25.)

There are more than a score of Arab states.  Why should another subset of Arabs have a state?  Actually, Palestinian Arabs do have a state, Jordan, the Queen’s state.  Her government does not want to take in refugee descendants,

because the last time it did, the harbored Arabs were organized by terrorists to try to take over Jordan.  That is not Israel’s fault.

Most Arab states and the Palestinian Authority reject Israel, boycott it, and refuse to negotiate with it.  They hold Israel hostage to continuing confrontation.

Most of the refugees had not lived in Israel for generations.  Most of them were not kicked out of their houses, but fled by orders of foreign Arab armies, including that of the Queen’s dynasty, and from their own failed attempt to kick the Jews out of their houses.  However, her dynasty did kick thousands of Jews out of their houses, in the Old City and in Judea-Samaria.

As for identity theft, the Palestinian Arabs fabricated the notion of “Palestinians” being a separate nationality, the claim that Jesus was a “Palestinian,” and the claim that there were no Jewish temples or society in the country in ancient times.

Arabs have been sneaking into Israel, squatting on land, and destroying or rustling Israeli crops.  Their hopes, that they despair of attaining, are for conquest and murder.

The Arabs’ problems are of their own making.  Queen Rania has gotten the whole story wrong.  She falsified history for propaganda.  That’s not education.

Do students at Yale and other universities get the true story?  What kind of education do they get?  How does their education serve their country?  After her defamatory rant, why did the University accept her money to influence education in America?  Her particular gift was small, but overall, the problem is big.
