Update: The Michael Jackson overdose speculations began the day of his death. Loved ones and insiders were first to alledge that the King of Pop died of a drug overdose with popofol, morphine or other medications which led to cardiac arrest. The Michael Jackson autopsy results and toxicology reports remain pending, yet speculation on drug abuse continues.A Los Angeles coroner released a preliminary cause of death and autopsy status. Findings on a drug overdose have yet to be determined.
Addionally, reports from Sky News and AP state that police seized a bag of drugs from Michael Jackson's home.
The Los Angeles County Coroner office relayed that it may be some weeks before the public learns how Michael Jackson died from a drug overdose or otherwise. .
Thursday, the family attorney Brian Oxman alludes to drug abuse on CNN (see video below) and another report on Jackson's death goes as follows:
"Last night it was suspected his collapse could have been caused by an overdose of painkiller. An Emergency Room source at UCLA hospital said Jackson aides told medics he had collapsed after an injection of potent Demerol — similar to morphine, " -- The Sun.

It should be remembered that overdose as a cause of death for Michael Jackson has not been established here, despite the ambulance photos and hearsay reports. A coroner is expected to report on Friday, but a full autopsy and toxicology panel will be required to determine the official cause of death for Michael Jackson.
