 Update: 06-26-09 (6:14 p.m EST) Since Michael Jackson died Thursday many updates have transpired, including official information of his cause of death. The Los Angeles.Coroner released a report on the autopsy status and cause of death report for Michael Jackson.

 
Internet buzz on the King of Pop's cause of death ontinues, including that Michael Jackson died of a drug overdose.

The entertainer's doctor was originally sought out by police as the phyisician went "missing" but has since returned to Los Angeles and coorperated with police. While some family members suspect a drug overdose as Michael Jackson's cause of death, the official cause of death is unknown. Since Michael Jackson died Thursday the related 911 call has been released.

Michael Jackson died today and this photo of the pop star on a stretcher has been released (below). Entertainer Michael Jackson died today from a heart attack early reports state about the King of Pop. A coroner pronounced Jackson dead at 2:26 p.m today at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. An official cause of death is anticipated Friday. The story of Michael Jackson's death and cardiac arrest was broken by entertainment gossip site TMZ, but much of the buzz surrounding the pop icon's passing has been unreliable.

Rumors and satire about the death of Michael Jackson has occured frequently on the Internet, making careful reporters cautious about the story. Yet, Michael Jackson's death has been confirmed according to several sources from the LA Times to CNN.
 
Earlier in the year, the Daily Mail Online reported that Michael Jackson became a Muslim and changed his name to Mikaeel,' which may be relevant to those who wish to honor his passing accordingly. 
 
 A live news conference is forthcoming from UCLA concerning the details of Michael Jackson's death. Note that many conflicting reports and rumors abound.
Meanwhile, from Bloomberg to Drudge, updates on Michael Jackson's death and life continue. Jackson's life was a mix of stardom, tabloid fodder and legal woes to include allegations of sexual abuse. 
 
 
 
Original Story -- Michael Jackson Dies at Age 50
 
Michael Jackson had reportedly been taken to UCLA Medical Center by ambulance for cardiac arrest, TMZ reported earlier. Additionally, new reports indicate that Michael Jackson died at home rather than receiving life-saving treatment at the hospital. The story continues to unfold as various news organizations confirm Michael Jackson's death and the surrounding circumstances. [Update: There are now rumors that Jeff Goldblum has died, these are untrue.]
 
 
Michael Jackson dead age 50
 
According to KATV "Los Angeles Fire Department Captain Steve Ruda said paramedics responded to a 911 call at Jackson's home around 12:26 p.m. He was not breathing when they arrived. The paramedics performed CPR and took him to UCLA Medical Center, Ruda says."
On Twitter TMZ posts: "We regret to inform that Michael Jackson has Died - Posted Jun 25th 2009 5:20PM by TMZ Staff"
Meanwhile another tragedy transpires as Farrah Fawcett's family bids farewell to the beloved actress. With the deaths of Michael Jackson, Ed McMahon as well as Farrah Fawcett, many wonder if celebrities die in threes (the meaning of three).
 
As for the King of Pop, he was 50 and leaves behind three children.

Update: LA Times confirms that Michael Jackson is dead, that it is not a rumor, and that the hospital is on lockdown.
