Former Vice President Dick Cheney does not recall the answers to 72 questions the FBI asked him about the Valerie Plame Wilson covert identity leak. The FBI interview, obtained by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, or CREW, can be read here.
In 2004 Cheney told the FBI that he had no idea who leaked to the news media that Valerie Plame Wilson, wife of Bush administration critic Joe Wilson, worked for the CIA.
Cheney’s chief of staff, I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby was indicted, tried, and convicted for perjury, obstruction, and lying to the FBI. President Bush commuted Libby’s 30-month prison sentence, but rejected Cheney's pleas to pardon Libby in the twilight of the administration.
