Collectorz.com proves, once again, that it is the best library software available for gamers. Collectorz Games has released a mobile app for iPhone and iPod Touch that allows you to check your collection on the go. The app was created to address the exact problems associated with large-scale game collecting, multiple purchases and bragging rights.
Bragging rights…
Q. How do you show off a bonzer assemblage of games when out and about?
A. Pull out an iPhone with thousands of your games photographed and categorized. That’s it.
Multiple purchases…
When you buy a dozen games at a time, as is often the case with classic collecting, it is easy to forget which ones are back home. This can cause multiple unwanted purchases of the same title. For this the only solutions were to email a doc of titles and look it up on a smart phone or bring an overstuffed binder along for the ride. Having a customizable list and search at hand in the wild is invaluable.
The Clz Games app provides, not only the titles, but info and pictures of each game. Changes in the library are also exported to the app with no need to make separate updates, which is obviously awesome. The app has several views to choose from including platforms, genres, games, status, and gallery, as well as a search function for hit-and-run collecting.
Aside from the hardware, the app requires Game Collector 3.2 Pro for Windows (only Windows support presently) and the Clz games app from iTunes app store. Together they’ll run about $60 USD, but it is well worth the investment, especially if you never again buy a duplicate game.
Before you buy, be sure to check Collectorz.com on Twitter for discount coupon codes to get the perfect game library software at a bargain, and send Alwin (the creator or Collectorz.com) your thanks, good reviews, and suggestions.
It goes without saying that this is an excellent tool for the acquisition of new games and the organization of a collection. Contemporary and classic gamers alike will assuredly benefit from a fingertip database of this caliber.
Now is the future of classic games (and mobile game organization).
