Sega Genesis cover of Gunstar Heroes.

Gunstar Heroes was released Thursday on the Playstation Store for $4.99. Those looking forward to playing the cooperative online mode are in for a huge disappointment.

Several players are reporting that they are having trouble setting up a co-op game for Gunstar Heroes on the Playstation Network. In the rare instances that it does work, the gameplay is so full of lag that it was unplayable.

Xbox 360 players shouldn’t worry (aside from a little lag) seeing that the co-op mode of Gunstar Heroes is running smoothly on Xbox Live.
