Author's Note: Bike Week in Fort Collins runs from June 22nd - June 26. In celebration of this great community-wide even that strives to increase awareness about bike safety, the biking community and the general wonderful-ness of the two-wheeled marvel we know as the modern bicycle, all of my posts this week will be bike related! Be sure to stop by this page every day to see what's new.

Fort Collins is quite proud of its reputation as a bike-friendly community. Where else can you find so many people zipping about in wide bike lanes on their cruisers, mountain bikes and "fixies" at all hours of the day or night?

Despite this year long love affair with these self-propelled machines, once a year Fort Collins goes all out with a week long celebration of the bike known as Bike Week...and guess what? It's happening this week! Below are a list of the bike related events going on around the city this week, including some that are more well known than others. Take a peek at the schedule and plan on strappin on your helmet and attending some!
