Production has been halted yet again on season seven of the Fox drama '24.'
20th Century Fox TV confirmed late Friday that production of the show will be suspended for two weeks beginning September 15th. The move was reportedly being made following executive producer Howard Gordon's continued displeasure with the direction of the season's final six episodes.
This isn't the first time production of the show has been interrupted this season. The show first delayed production last year after scrapping plans to film in Africa. Production was halted again to enable writers to flesh out the scripts for the entire season. Then came the writer strike, which halted production after eight episodes.
Fox pushed the debut of the season back to January 2009, and when production recently resumed on the show, it became obvious to Gordon that the final six scripts still needed work.
The delay is not expected to push back the January launch date, and production of the show is expected to resume by October 9th.
