Landing her first award nomination since the celebrated release of "I Look To You" in August, Whitney Houston will vie for a Soul Train Award in November.

While not picking up a leading four nominations, like Beyonce, Houston will face off with the "Singles Ladies (Put A Ring On It)" singer, Chrisette Michele, Ledisi and Jennifer Hudson for Soul Train's Best R&B/Soul Artist Female Award.

Joining the aforementioned ladies, Maxwell and Keri Hilson lead this year's Soul Train Awards with four nominations a piece.

As previously reported, the 2009 Soul Train Awards are due to take place November 3 in Atlanta, Georgia and will later air on Centric November 29.

Academy Award nominated talent Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson will host the revamped show, which returns on a new network (Centric) after an over two year hiatus.

Drake, Ryan Leslie, Solange, Musiq Soulchild, Raphael Saadiq, Mary Mary, Ne-Yo, Robin Thicke, Mario, Smokie Norful, Marvin Sapp, Keyshia Cole, Trey Songz, Monica and more are also nominated for awards ranging from Best New Artist to Best Collaboration.

Michael Jackson will also be honored during the ceremony (more on the honor here....).
