The Baby Boomers played Pong, PacMan and Missile Command back in the infancy of video games.
And you might think that they left those games behind along with the keg parties, tie dye shirts and bell bottoms. Think again, especially as the gift giving season rolls toward us.
PC World reported that a quarter of United States gamers are over 50. Game architects and the game industry see a large market among the millions of Baby Boomers for the simple reason they have the disposable income.
A gaming blogger on PopMatters.com noted, "Unlike their children, this demographic generally has a decent amount of disposable income, lots of free time, and are up for spending those things on a hobby."

And, of course, there are the more traditional but updated board games -- Monopoly, Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Uno.
For those Baby Boomers who want to play a game about themselves, there's The Baby Boomer Retirement Game, examined here a few weeks ago.
