The title of the History Channel's video series on the John F. Kennedy assassination says it all: The Men Who Killed Kennedy. The below five-minute excerpt from this series reveals key evidence showing what a majority of Americans have long believed, that Lee Harvey Oswald was not the lone assassin.
Featured in this clip is the now deceased L. Fletcher Prouty, a former colonel in the U.S. Air Force. From 1955 to 1964 Col. Prouty was assigned to USAF Headquarters, where he directed the creation of an Air Force worldwide system for "military support of the clandestine operations of the CIA." As a result this vital work, he was awarded the prestigious Legion of Merit.
Col. Prouty was briefing officer for the U.S. Secretary of Defense in 1960 and 1961. With the creation of the Defense Intelligence Agency, he was assigned to the office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, where he served as Chief of Special Operations in 1962 and 1963. He was also briefing officer at that time for the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In 1964, he was one of the first three recipients of the Joint Chiefs of Staff's Joint Service Commendation Medal.
With these impressive credentials, where was Col. Prouty on November 22, 1963, the day of JFK's assassination? The South Pole. He had been ordered to escort a group of international VIPs there in what was deemed a "paid vacation." Had he been in Washington, he would have been carrying out one of his routine duties – security for the president in Dallas.
On learning of Kennedy's assassination, Prouty was stunned to see how quickly Lee Harvey Oswald was identified as the killer and right away suspected something strange. "I knew immediately the story was written before the shots were even fired. Oswald was a designated patsy whether he shot or not."
Prouty is only one of dozens of reliable witnesses included in the History Channel series. Yet with his highly decorated military background and direct work with the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the time, he is certainly among the most reliable of the witnesses presented. The below clip starts with Jack Ruby, the man who killed Oswald, discussing how he was set up by people in positions of high power.

The ninth segment, titled "The Guilty Men", directly implicated Lyndon Johnson. Due to legal threats from high places, this segment had to be withdrawn.
