Vince Shlomi, an infomercial salesman with a penchant for slanging in the vain of Ginsu, The Clapper, Life Alert and other such time and money (or life) saving multi-purpose device slicksters was involved in an incident involving a hooker he courted at a nightclub in Florida, February 7th.

The Smoking Gun was first to report this story March 27th.

Best known for his sales pitch for the Shamwow, the product which claims to be able extract large quantities of liquid spills created by common accidents around the home (or wherever accidental spills occur), Shlomi has created a dubious reputation promoting with his break-neck speed style of infomercial selling.  The Shamwow, if nothing else, had created public interest in various medias.  From the catchy Youtube videos (see below) to the blogosphere and their many entertaining comment threads, the Shamwow has been called a sham by many consumers, created by speculation about the authenticity of the claims made by Shlomi.

The full police report indicates Shlomi, 44, offered $1,000 to the woman after she "propositioned him for straight sex" while in his room at a South Beach, Florida hotel.  The affidavit reports that the woman then bit his tongue "and would not let go" resulting in his reaction to punch her multiple times in the face, causing fractures and lacerations.

In the end, neither party was prosecuted in the case, according to TMZ.
