Dream About Tea's brick & mortar shop.

For over six years, Dream About Tea in Evanston has provided authentic Chinese teas and teaware to its loyal customers. Now those who aren't local can order Dream About Tea products from its online store.

While Dream About Tea has always offered mail order (a lot of former Northwestern students insist on getting their pu-erh fix from Dream About Tea, no matter how far away from Evanston they live), their new online store, hosted by Yahoo! E-Commerce, offers a wider selection of products, with new items being added daily.

In celebration, Dream About Tea is making a special offer to online buyers: Use coupon code "freeship09" at checkout to receive free shipping on any order of $10.00 or more. (Dream About Tea normally only offers free shipping on orders over $100: Otherwise, shipping is a flat $8.00 per order.)

I've been patronizing Dream About Tea for a year  now, and here are a few of my favorite products:

Yunnan Golden Silk:  This is hands-down my favorite black tea (aka "hong cha"). It is incredibly sweet and spicy, perfect with food and on its own. I've served it to tea novices and tea snobs alike, and everyone loves it. In fact, many agree with me that it is the best black tea that they have ever tried.

Dream About Tea Yixing Teapot: Interested in trying a Yixing teapot? Look no further than this simple but attractive and functional teapot from Dream About Tea. These aren't cheap, but they are of excellent quality and will serve you well for a long time to come.

Wan Shou Wu Jiang Gaiwan:  Another indispensable piece of teaware: This is a large, thick, sturdy gaiwan that is great for both infusing and drinking. The quality ceramic keeps your tea hot: Much hotter than thin porcelain gaiwans.

"S" Mini Brick Cooked Pu-erh:  Ever wanted to try Pu-erh, China's own fermented tea which is packed into cakes, nests, and bricks? Well, here is your chance! "S" pu-erh is packed into convenient mini-bricks that infuse up to a tasty, mellow brew that is good for multiple infusions.
