Gift Guide: Gifts for monster lovers

Monsters. They don't have to be scary, they can be friendly and fun. My oldest daughter (2.5 years old) loves monsters. She can't get enough. She helped me put together this gift guide for all her fellow monster lovers.

Curly Q Cuties makes THE cutest, coolest made-to-order monsters. They can be boy monsters, girly monsters, even silly monsters. They're all cute and custom to your child's liking. Part of the fun is sitting down with your little monster lover and picking out the design, from body type, eyes, mouth, colors and more. It's so cool. Plus it's made in the USA and really soft.

Rich Frog's Terrible Twos Shoes turn your little one into a little monster. The slippers are made in several monster-like designs. They only come in one size - toddler size 7.

Where The Wild Things Are book and DVD. The book is a classic that will spark your child's imagination. The Scholastic video includes Where The Wild Things Are and several other stories written and illustrated by Maurice Sendak.

Monsters, Inc. is a great kids DVD starring friendly monsters viced by big names like John Goodman and Billy Crystal and others. It gives a "behind the scenes look" at monster scare tactics with a happy ending. I love this movie and so do both of my daughters.

Yo Gabba Gabba! Dance Time Brobee will bring smiles to faces who have never even heard of the TV show he comes from. He’s cute in his fuzzy green stripes and long arms and looks extra silly when he dances, inspiring extra laughs.

If your little one is scared of monsters, check out THIS guide for scaring them away.

I've put together over two dozen gift guides to help you find the perfect gifts. I'm breaking down the categories to suit children's personalities from bug lovers to little scientists, artists and more. I'll also have gift guides for new parents, moms, dad, and grandparents. You can see all of those HERE.
