Mortal Online on Ebay
Your eyes do not deceive you

This is a little odd.  Today Mortal Online, an upcoming PvP driven fantasy MMORPG, made a few announcements.  MO has put their number 1 of  999 limited edition copy of the game on Ebay.  However, it's not just the game there's a ton of other stuff included which you can view below.

Listen, the bidding right now is over two grand.  That's two thousand of the greenbacks.  That, to me, is a little odd.  I'm a cheapskate though.

Here are the details found on Ebay:

MORTAL FOR LIFE - FULL LOOT BAG NO#1 OF 999

  • 100% of the final bid is donated to Doctors Without Borders
  • Includes life-long free playing time in the game Mortal Online (1)
  • Free international shipping
  • Packed in the Mortal Online Loot Bag (printed jute bag with leather drawstring)
  • Numbered and embossed Metal Box, inlay signed by development team
  • Collectors Tindremic Draconigena Knight, 40mm metal figurine by Reaper Miniatures (tm)
  • Collectors Thursar Barbarian, 40mm metal figurine by Reaper Miniatures (tm)
  • Mortal Online Journal, 70 page notebook with 24 concept art pages and a 38x52cm poster
  • All pre-launch updates freely shipped on DVD (2)

  • Free digital updates and expansions (5)
  • A personal invitation to Malmö (travelling expenses not paid for by Star Vault) for a night of free beers at Lilla Torg with the dev team ;)

(1) Mortal Online is a game still in Beta. The official launch date is not firmly set, but estimated to Q4 (Oct-Dec) 2009. The life-long game account must be registered on the official Mortal Online account site, and once registered to a person, it is bound to a non-transferable personal account.
(2) The item will be shipped from Sweden on September 1. As there will be several updates to the game before launch, these updates will be freely shipped to you on physical DVD media.
(3) The item includes access to a digital download of the game.
(4) The Beta will start on July 6, accepting blocks of 2000 players each second week. This item includes access to the first block, Block A.
(5) Mortal Online will have no additional fees for any future upgrades or expansions.
