The battle for Western Conference supremacy shifts to a best of five series, and Denver has stolen the home-court advantage.

Player of the game - Carmelo Anthony

It was a tough start for the Nuggets all-world forward, but down the stretch he played like his post-season life was on the line - and it probably was. Melo was able to grab and put back several big offensive rebounds in the fourth quarter to help the Nuggets even the series.

What the Lakers are thinking

The Lakers have to be thinking of ways to get more offense from their trio of extremely talented big men, the triumvirate of Bynum, Odom and Gasol only scored 36 points combined - which isn't terrible but is also only two more points than Carmelo Anthony scored by himself.

What the Nuggets are thinking

Denver has to be elated, they have home-court advantage and have generally outplayed the Lakers in the series. The Nuggets also received a huge contribution from Linas Kleiza, who poured in 16 points and helped to spread the floor.
