If clothing optional is on your hot list of places to visit, then you'll appreciate the lastest news from the hotel association of Desert Hot Springs, in the Coachella Valley near Palm Springs. Read on for their latest news release: (June 18, 2009) Recently the international, award-winner travel advisory site TripAdvisor.com has placed the city of Desert Hot Springs in the top three areas in the category Best California Hot Springs Locations.
Natural hot springs abound in the Coachella Valley. Over 80 ‘spatels’ proliferated in the 1950s and ‘60s. Several have been restored to their mid-century retro-hip splendor. Escape to the desert and choose decadent desert dens from the venerable Two Bunch Palms to clothing-optional Living Waters.
Nine of the top ten hotels listed on this site in June are members of the Hoteliers Association of Desert Hot Springs. Among these are:

Other kudos to the various spa resorts located in Desert Hot Springs have been received. The Spring Resort and Spa was SpaFinder’s 2008 Readers’ Choice Award. Bella Monte Hot Springs Resort ranked twelfth out of seventy-four spa hotels from around the country on TripAdvisor. El Morocco Inn & Spa is rated Top 8 Hotels in the US for 2009 by Trip Advisor and Top 6 Chic Motels in the US by Travel & Leisure. Living Waters Spa was for the fourth time listed as TripAdvisors’ Travelers’ Choice: Hidden Gem. It was called one of the top ten clothing optional resorts in the world.
