Hit stores this fall

The video game world is starting to look a lot like Hollywood with all these remakes of classic games coming out. The difference is the video game industry does a pretty good job with their remakes.

Next up is Bionic Commando for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Even though it was announced almost a year ago, we're just starting to realize how cool this new game is going to be. Bionic Commando originally appeared in arcades across the country in the late 1980's. For those that don't remember, the game follows a commando (later named Super Joe), who has a bionic grappling arm that he uses to get across gaps, pull himself up on ledges, and climb buldings. In his working hand, he carries an automatic weapon. Your goal in the game was to defeat the enemy before he launches a bunch of missiles. If you don't remember, take a look at this video. Yeah, now you remember right?

According to various reports, the events of the new game takes place about 10 years after the original game. Taking place in the fictional Acension City, you play as Nathan Spencer, an Operative for the Tactical Arms and Security Committee, who was betrayed by the government, imprisoned and stripped of his bionic arm. Fortunately, there's a detonation of an experimental weapon that triggers an earthquake and leaves the city in shambles. Plus there's a threat of a terrorist organization trying to take over things. And of course, the government calls on you to help save the world and the adventure begins. Oh yeah, you get your arm back too. Check out some of this great looking gameplay footage:
