The Xbox 360 exclusive, Alan Wake was announced way back in 2005, and after a trailer or two, a bunch of delays and then just silence, a new trailer for the game has emerged this week.

And the game still looks compelling as ever.

The game follows award-winning horror author Alan Wake as he tries to escape to a small mountain Bright Falls. What he's escaping from, we're not entirely sure. But whatever is it, it followed him to the town, he can't sleep and he's pretty much afraid of the dark.

We still don't have a release date for the game, which is a bit frustrating, because for some people, Alan Wake is the reason they bought the Xbox 360... yeah, three years ago. In meantime, check out these intriguing trailers:
