Thai Festival comes to Chicago

The Thai Festival comes to Chicago once again this year with even more performances and showcases at the Daley Center Plaza.

International diplomats and elected officials have been invited to attend the opening ceremony on Wednesday, July 8th at 11:45 a.m. There will be a special performance by Secretary of State Jessie Whites’ Tumbling Team and a special appearance by renowned Thai singer and musician, Todd Tongdee.

The actual festival will feature Thai silk fashion shows, cultural performances, Muay Thai Kickboxing, workshops, Thai fruit carving, Thai painting, Thai music and Thai games for children.

In addition to all the workshops and performance there will also be Thai massage and galleries of handcrafted pieces.
