Nissan shows Nissan NV2500 Concept due for reveal at Detroit Auto Show in January

Nissan calls it “one of the largest concepts vehicle ever created by Nissan,” which tells us the released soft-focus picture of the NV2500 Concept could serve very well as just what it looks like, an off-road armored car, just the thing for making deliveries to that little bank in the big woods. There are probably many more clever (or not) guestimations of what the concept’s true uses could be.
Here’s what Nissan says, however: “the innovative NV2500 Concept previews the company’s entry into the North American Commercial Vehicle (CV) market in 2010 and is designed to highlight multi-purpose utility solutions in the real world.”
We suspect that there’s a pretty heavy-duty world out there, at least in Nissan’s view, drawn in part from Nissan’s designation, the 2500 suggesting three-quarter ton configuration, and NV for, most likely, Nissan Van.
The more we look at the picture, however, the bigger the vehicle looks. We’ll see how big it really is, however, when it’s revealed at the North American Interantional (Detroit) Auto Show in January. We’ll bring you the full details then.
