Behemoth has recently announced that legendary knobsmith Colin Richardson is confirmed to mix their upcoming studio album, which is slated for a summer release through Metal Blade Records. Richardson is responsible (from both a mixing and producing side) for such career-defining albums as Bolt Thrower’s WARMASTER, Fear Factory’s SOUL OF A NEW MACHINE, Machine Head’s BURN MY EYES, Carcass’ HEARTWORK, and many, many others. He most recently mixed Kreator’s 2009 release, HORDES OF CHAOS.
Richardson expresses his excitement for working with Behemoth, “Nergal has sent me three songs which are guitars/bass/drums live from the rehearsal room and the material sounds fantastic already. I am really looking forward to mixing this album. It's going to be great mixing an extreme heavy band again, especially as it's the mighty Behemoth.”
Nergal, too, is thrilled to rub elbows with the studio maestro, “I'm beyond excited about this new album. It's not just the finest piece of music we've ever made, but it's also the most mature [set of] tunes we've created without compromising our sound. I'm stoked about Colin Richardson involvement in the mix of the record. I have absolutely no doubts that Colin will deliver, and I'm expecting new album to have the sound that's bigger than life!”
