There's nothing like a presidential election to spawn great bipartisan humor; bipartisan, of course, in that both Democrats and Republicans will laugh, just not necessarily at the same time.

However, whatever your political persuasion, you'll get quite a few chuckles out of Terminatrix: The Sarah Palin Chronicles, a tongue-in-cheek, hilariously photoshopped "history" of Mrs. Palin's life and career, compiled by the (fictional) "editors of the Wasilla Iron Dog Gazette."

According to the Gazette editors:

We, the editors of the Wasilla Iron Dog Gazette, have known Sarah Palin all her life—as a teenage basketball star, a beauty queen, a city council member, mayor, governor, and now vice-presidential candidate—and so much more. The stories that have previously circulated about her barely scratch the surface. Indeed, if we wrote down everything we know, you probably wouldn't believe us. However, thanks to tireless investigative work and access to a crucial source close to the Governor, we have managed to obtain a private collection of family photos, published here for the first time. Some of them are annotated in the Governor's own hand, providing a fascinating running commentary on her life. . . .

The book is full of silly but amusing pictures of historical figures (Abraham Lincoln, Joan of Arc) with Palin's head attached and accompanied by a small "biographical note": for instance, the picture of Palin as Joan of Arc sports the caption:

In between junior high and high school, Sarah heard God's call to save France.

Ridiculous, spoofy, harmless fun.

If you're a fan of political humor, take a look at I'll Be Sober in the Morning: Great Political Comebacks, Ripostes & Putdowns by Chris Lamb.

Feel smugly intellient while indulging your taste for graphic novels with comic books featuring Obama and McCain.
