Actors, artists, authors, lookalikes, costume contests, charity events, art galleries, illustrators, films, concerts, wrestling matches and so much more were offered at ImagiCon on March 27-29, held at Sheraton Birmingham and the BJCC Civic Center in Birmingham, Alabama.
The events, as well as the featured and celebrity guests, were appreciated by all who attended. Some guests arrived in costume or wardrobe, others just enjoyed those who were already in Sci-Fi or Fantasy attire.
In attendance: Captain Jack Sparrow, Ik, King of the trolls, the Matrix Team from the Matrix films, Star Wars’ Darth Vader and Storm Troopers, Edward Scissorhands, Wonder Woman, Predator, Alien, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, fairies, Anime characters, Sweeney Todd…
Also on hand were voiceover artists from a variety of films and TV shows - one being that of Jem and Pizzaz. Several actors of TV and film fame signed autographs - a few represented were Bill Thompson - Chainsaw Massacre, Felix Silla - Roj, an ewok from Star Wars, Itt from TV’s The Addam’s Family, Buck Rogers…and many more.
LifeSouth’s blood drive was in attendance at ImagiCon along with the Beowulf: Prince of the Geats film. All profits from that film would be donated to the American Cancer Society. Director Scott Wegener, along with cast members, represented the Beowulf film. They were one of many panels held over the three day period of ImagiCon.
The countdown has already begun for ImagiCon 2010!
