While perhaps the iPod is the standard in the public’s mind there are other alternatives on the market, and some of them are quite good. Today we take a look at a very cool, very small MP3 player from SanDisk. It’s called the SanDisk Sansa Clip+ MP3 Player. In addition to the extremely small size it is extremely powerful, it’s innovative and it’s versatile. Here’s a brief look:
The first thing you notice about the SanDisk Sansa Clip+ MP3 Player is its diminutive size. It measures 2.16” x 1.36” x .60”. It weighs just .85 of an ounce, so yes, it weighs less than an ounce. Don’t let that small size fool you; this device is quite powerful, let’s take a look at the features of the 8GB model we tested (except where noted all the models have the same features):
The SanDisk Sansa Clip+ MP3 Player is easy to use, sounds great and, due to its removable memory has virtually unlimited storage for music. The device accepts, as mentioned above, microSD and microSDHC as well as slotRadio and slotMusic cards. That means that in addition to the built in 2, 4 or 8GB of storage, you can add up to an additional 16GB of storage at a time. In addition, you can buy a variety of slotRadio and slotMusic cards preloaded with your favorite genres of music. All this adds up to a great deal of flexibility when using the device.
