A Ferrari being driven in a stunt for Nicolas Cage's upcoming movie "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" crashed injuring two bystanders in Times Square, NY today. The black Ferrari F430 went out of control and knocked down a lightpole which landed on one person.
The Ferrari then ran into the Sbarro pizzeria and side-swiped another person while also knocking over a newpaper dispenser. According to "Access Hollywood" both victims did not sustain serious injuries. The Ferrari was weaving through traffic when the driver lost control, and amazingly did not hit any other cars.
Fox News Channel interviewed the female victim who was hit by the car and her lawyer. The lawyer questions why the sidewalk was not shut down for the stunt when the road was closed to public traffic.
A second accident in just three days happened when a female driver was trying to avoid a taxi and hit a parked car and then both vehicles went onto the sidewalk and hit a group of people. Nine people including members of the crew were injured.
