Alison Carroll to appear at London Carphone Warehouse

The Carphone Warehouse and Sony Ericsson have teamed up to launch two new gaming phones, and they have recruited Lara Croft to help them do it. Alison Carroll, who was used as the model for Lara Croft in Tomb Raider: Underworld, will be appearing at the flagship Carphone Warehouse this Friday, February 6th at 12:15 PM. The flagship Carphone Warehouse is located at 272-274 Oxford Street, London, W1C 1DU.

The event promotes the Sony Ericsson W910 Exclusive Gaming Edition and the motion-sensitive F305 handset, both available exclusively from the Carphone Warehouse. The handsets are packed with mobile games like Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 09, Tomb Raider and Sim City.

"We are very excited to present these special edition gaming handsets with The Carphone Warehouse," said Dave Hilton, Head of Marketing for Sony Ericsson UK and Ireland. "It shows how the increased capabilities of our phones are matching up to the rapid advancements in technology and gaming. The clever motion sensors on the F305 mean we're getting ever closer to giving our consumers the same gaming experiences they would normally have on their consoles"

They may have a ways to go to catch up with the iPhone in terms of becoming a solid gaming platform, but at least they are advertising the handsets with style.
