The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), Sept. 10-19, 2009, is one of the most prestigious international film festivals in the world. For ten days, film lovers, filmmakers, industry professionals and media watch the best new cinema from established masters and new talent. More than 300 films will be shown at the 34th annual film festival. It's also a great place for star gazing. Directors in attendance include Neil Jordan, Margarethe von Trotta, Scott Hicks, Michael Moore, Steven Soderbergh and the Coen brothers. Actors include George Clooney, Nicolas Cage, Penelope Cruz, Colin Firth, Colin Farrell, Michael Douglas and Naomi Watts.
The Fairmont Royal York, in partnership with the festival, is premiering a blockbuster of a room package that stars Gold Floor accommodations, breakfasts, film passes, swag bag, martinis and CN Tower passes.
The TIFF and the City package offers guests the chance to play a leading role in a glamorous celebrity lifestyle, without the annoying paparazzi. Upon arrival at the Fairmont Royal York, patrons of the package may unwind in the Gold Floor lounge and enjoy special privileges within its elegant, residential setting. A private concierge will present guests with their TIFF and the City package inclusions. Items debuting in this package will be the two complimentary film passes, entitling each ticket holder up to five regular film screens (shown from 830 AM-11:59 PM, excluding galas).
